When guests sign on to Loren Larsen’s weekly digital events for people affected by divorce, they check a box explaining issues they have questions about, ranging from legal advice to emotional support. But it’s only since the pandemic that the majority are checking the “real estate’’ box.
"Since the events have gone to Zoom, this is the first time I am seeing the majority of people check ‘real estate’ as the section that they have a question about,’’ said Larsen, a former divorce lawyer who now works as a realtor with Compass, where the majority of her clients are people going through a divorce. “I’m getting a lot more people checking off ‘I need to talk to a realtor.’ If I had to guess, 60 percent more attendees are checking that box now than they were before COVID."
