This class has been designed to meet the fundamental needs of students seeking a broad knowledge of business skills and specializing in the foundational areas of Entrepreneurial studies. Such topics include entrepreneurial spirit, a strategic approach to starting a business, basic financial and risk management, confidence building, pitch development, creating a sales plan, government taxes and other selected issues of interest to the entrepreneur.
The purpose of this class is to foster a great appreciation on the special problems and opportunities inherent in starting your own business. It is currently estimated that 75% of all graduates will at one time in their career, start or work for a small business. Small businesses are expected to account for the majority of economic growth in the Canadian economy of the 21st century.
